Here are several page-design templates for presenting scholarly materials such as articles, essays, and reports in a variety of formats, depending on the ultimate desired use.

Two of them are designed to present materials for reading on the computer screen, placing the text in two side-by-side columns on a landscape oriented page. The type is sized to be readable at approximately 75%, which is how most screens accommodate a landscape 8.5” x 11” sheet of letter-size paper. One file uses a sans-serif font (generally more readable on screens), the other employs a more traditional serif font.

A third file uses a similar landscape layout, but sizes the type smaller—for reading printed out on paper, where it will appear at full 100% size. This template employs a serif font.
