The Nebraska Redox Biology Center (RBC) combines the expertise and facilities of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Medical Center in a collaborative pursuit to unravel fundamental problems in redox biology. The Center's research examines how cells maintain a reduction-oxidation balance, a process called redox homeostasis and complex diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, and cataracts. These studies will also advance understanding of redox regulation, which is important in cellular aging and controlled cell death.
