Abstract
Previous research on the effect of posterior pituitary extracts on amphibian water balance has chiefly concerned the effect of injections of these hormones on animals in water. The present investigation was designed to determine whether or not pituitrin exerts an influence on evaporative water loss in Rana pipiens, out of water, and if so, to what degree this influence may be altered under various experimental conditions.
