Abstract
Kiewit Corporation (Kiewit) is a private, employee-owned company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. This company is one of the largest EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies in North America and is routinely ranked in the top 400 companies in the Fortune 500. Kiewit has a large presence in multiple market groups: building, industrial, mining, energy, transportation, and water. This report seeks to further understand Kiewit’s energy market position, competitive advantages, and the future obstacles or opportunities it may face. To uncover these answers, this audit leverages a PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces analysis to magnify the external and internal forces that impact Kiewit. These analyses will guide the strategic recommendations on how Kiewit can excel in its competitive environment in the final portion of this audit.
