Abstract

This paper presents a metric analysis of Community Health Nursing, the records published during the year 1999 to 2018 in the MEDLINE data which are covered in the Pubmed. It is noticed that from 1999 onwards there is a gradual increase except for some years and also observed that a total of 39140 records in the field of Community Health Nursing. It was found that 51.78% was journal articles, 21.79% was Research Support, Non U.S. Gov't and 9.07% was Review. English language (95.56%)is dominated in almost all the countries irrespective of the native language of the country. This is followed by French (0.91%) and Japanese (0.89%) as second and third positions respectively.It is seen that the United States is the major publisher, followed by England,Australia, Netherlands, etc. In total productivity, India ranks in the 11th position. 221 journals are identified as primary journals in the field of Community Health Nursing. It also shows that the United States published 42.53% out of 221 journals followed by England published 24.89% in the second position. Australia and Canada are in the third and fourth positions respectively. Activity Index is greater than 100 in the study period of seven years out of twenty years, which reveals that those years higher activity of Community Health Nursing research than the World’s average.
