Abstract
The study determine the essentiality of information literacy in family life education among youths of the Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State. The major purpose of the study was to ascertain the vital role of information literacy in upholding/transmitting family life curriculum from one generation to another among the inhabitants of the study area. Though the scholarly review, the study reviewed that family-life education is innate and therefore could be strengthened if adequate information is given and that youths of the area and beyond can also only uphold their family-life education if information literacy is properly inculcated. The study also recommends that parents, history eductors, and curriculum planners among others should ensure that adequate information is given to learners to sustain their family life education.
