Document Type Article
Abstract
This paper emphasizes the need for ongoing awareness and enhancement of library management systems and underscores the significance of creating and implementing a structured framework that incorporates Human Performance Technology (HPT) approaches. The article analyses the training activities and their evolution in Hungarian academic, school and national libraries over the last 5 years, identifies plans for the next 5 years and makes a trend comparison. For detailed analysis, data from 13 identifiable areas were reduced using cluster analysis. The results of cluster analysis based on Ward's method point to the use of prioritized and less popular methodologies. The authors conclude that continuous sensitizing of managers and the resulting commitment can be the first step in the dissemination of human performance optimization systems.
