Abstract
Each year in schools all across the state, students and faculty celebrate the Great Land Run of 1889. But many of these institutes of learning are not telling the whole story. They make little mention of the disrespect shown towards the Indian Nations within Oklahoma Territory borders or the corrupt government policies that made this statewide land claim a sham. What is Oklahoma celebrating, anyway?
