Architecture is a cultural expression of a society's beliefs and values. It is a mirror upon which is reflected our understanding of the world around us and a measure of our ability to affect change in that world. As a form of communication architecture adds shape and meaning to our experiences by constructing the framework for events and rituals. Architectural design is the considered intensification of this framework. Founded in 1894 the College of Architecture at UNL has been providing architectural design leadership to the State of Nebraska and the nation for the past 100 years.
