The Interior Design Program at the University of Nebraska has a long tradition of educating consumers and professionals in the field of interior design, interior finishes and furnishings. In 1993, the program was transferred from the College of Human Resources and Family Sciences to the College of Architecture to strengthen its place in the study of the built environment. The Interior Design Program is fully accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education and Research (FIDER).
