Abstract
New towns would have to be built in areas where the urbanization tends to be intensive. One of such areas is the Lincoln – Omaha region of Eastern Nebraska. The purpose of this study is to prepare an analysis and proposal for developing a new city in this region, the need for which has been expressed by many but no concrete efforts are made as yet.
This study includes theoretical research about ‘new towns’ and the knowledge thus attained, is applied in the analysis and proposal for the new town in Lincoln – Omaha region. The whole work is comprised in three phases; preparation of a new town bibliography, study of new town movement and development and the design of a new town in Nebraska.
