Abstract
Agriculture is the most important industry in Cass County, which is one of the leading agricultural counties in Nebraska. If Cass County is to continue as an important agricultural county, the fertility of the soil within its borders must be maintained.
The purpose of this thesis is to outline a program which, if put into practice, will enable Cass County farmers to maintain soil fertility and develop a profitable agriculture. Such a program, if developed on a sound basis, may well serve as a guide to county agriculture agents and others engaged in agricultural work.
