Abstract
There are approximately three million acres of soils mapped in western Nebraska and smaller amounts in southwestern South Dakota, northeastern Colorado, and eastern Wyoming that have been classified in the Rosebud series. These soils comprise a substantial part of this series. The purpose of this report is to summarize the available morphological, chemical, physical, and mineralogical information concerning Rosebud soils, and to interpret this information in terms of their classification and use.
