Abstract

This study was made to observe by direct microscopic examinations the growth of some soil microorganisms on slide preparations and changes brought about in the nature of the soil aggregates by continuous subtilling and continuous plowing. The latter phase was done by using cross sections of soil aggregates obtained from the Agronomy Farm Rotation Plots, University of Nebraska, Lincoln. The cross sections of the soil aggregates were prepared, using different techniques and ultimately examining and photomicrographing them.
