Abstract
It is the purpose of this study to investigate the status of mathematics in terms of course offerings and of “course content” as set forth in the official catalogues of the public junior colleges location in those states comprising the area in which the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools functions. The investigation reported in this study consists of an analysis of the mathematics offerings of eighty-two representative public junior colleges.
