Abstract
This study will investigate some of the factors associated with the emotional phenomenon known as loneliness as related to expressed loneliness scores of the person who has never been married, is between the ages of twenty-two and sixty, and at present is not engaged in undergraduate college work or special schooling. Attention will not be directed to the extremes of this problem such as mental illness due to loneliness, extreme isolation, or the schizoid condition which is sometimes attributed to the state of loneliness.
