Abstract
It is the purpose of this paper to set forth the information obtained in this study which has a bearing upon native grass seed production in the subirrigated meadows of Holt County. It includes a general description of the area and the conditions under which the seed was produced; the procedure followed in obtaining meadows for harvest; a description of the meadows harvested and the procedure of harvesting and threshing; seed yields of the meadows; and reports of the purity and germination tests of the seed harvested, the spikelet and caryopsis counts on the major species, the average weight of one hundred seeds, and the approximate number of seeds per pound of pure seed.
