A STUDY OF SOLVENT INTERACTIONS WITH SOME COBALT(III) COORDINATION COMPOUNDS
Abstract
A complex, or coordination compound, is usually considered to be a compound with definite stoichiometry formed by "com- binations of apparently saturated materials which are capable of independent existence." The term "saturated" means here that the electronic requirements for the formation of stable materials has been met in the parent compounds. We will limit our definition in this work to complex compounds which contain a central metal ion.
