A STUDY OF THE NATURE OF THE PARTICIPATION OF CARBOXYL DERIVATIVES OF L-LEUCINE IN AN AMINO ACID-ACTIVATING ENZYME SYSTEM FROM RAT LIVER.

JEROME VINCENT SCHNELL, University of Nebraska - Lincoln

Abstract

In recent years the problem of protein biosynthesis has been the focal point of much basic research. The literature in this area is voluminous, and Hoagland (1), in his review article, cites sixteen published reviews and symposia on the subject during the period from 1955 to 1958. This tremendous activity continues and many researchers are currently engaged in the study of this complex and challenging problem.
