Agronomic instruction in the secondary school with special reference to laboratory experiments

Porter Lemuel Gaddis, University of Nebraska - Lincoln

Abstract

With the establishment of the Smith-Hughes Schools, there has arisen a need for a set of well-connected laboratory experiments in Agronomy, which are adapted to the secondary student. A set of exercises in soils and crops have been brought together and are given in Section VIII following. A number of the exercises are original but many of them of necessity have been adapted from various sources. An effort has been made to devise and choose exercises so as to cover the entire field as thoroughly as practicable and yet as concisely as possible.
