African universities are indispensable in economic, social, and human development through research and academic activities. A university library is the hub of academic activities in African universities. Internet bandwidth is the life blood of a modern university. Low bandwidth and connectivity have not allowed the African university libraries to benefit from information superhighways This paper examines initiatives and extent of connectivity among African university libraries. It discusses obstacles to connectivity and offers solutions.
