Abstract

The present study aimed to explore users’ satisfaction with library resources and services in health sciences institutes in Punjab, Pakistan. The study employed the quantitative research method to achieve its objectives. The quantitative data were collected from users of four selected health sciences institute libraries through the questionnaire.

The findings of the study suggest that the majority of participants were satisfied with the library environment (furniture, heating/cooling, noise level, lights and cleanliness). Whereas, most of the respondents did not give opinion about adequacy of space for study and research provided by the libraries. The respondents were satisfied with the courtesy, helpfulness, knowledgeable and competency of library staff. The respondents were also satisfied with organization of library collections. The findings of the study will help library administrators in identifying users’ expectations and needs, and improving resources and services in the health sciences institute libraries included in the study in line with users’ requirements.
