Abstract
This review covers bibliographic cataloging and bibliographic classification literature written in 2009 and 2010, including relevant explorations of knowledge organization systems and theory. Only English-language literature is reviewed, though not all of the literature covered is U.S.-based. Sub-topics are arranged in 21 sections, covering aspects such as controlled headings, special formats cataloging, and bibliographic standards. Some topics were considered to be out-of-scope, including serials-related topics, and the specifications and use of online public access catalogs, and certain types of sources were not consulted, such as blogs and conference slides. An appendix includes a list of pertinent blogs that were active in 2009 and 2010.
