Abstract
How far do we have to go to keep our schools safe? We already have metal detectors, drug-sniffing dogs, and armed security. Why not add video cameras in every classroom, every hallway, and every bus to monitor every move? Do we have to conform to a virtual police state to keep violence from breaking out in one of America's most sacred institutions…the neighborhood school?
