Abstract
Technical Note 412 contains analyses and related source data for 311 natural gas samples from 13 States. Of the total samples, 309 were collected during calendar years 1998 through 2001. The analyses were made using mass spectroscopy and gas chromatography. None of the analyses have been published previously in other analyses reports. All samples were obtained and analyzed as part of the United States Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management investigations of the occurrences of helium in natural gases of countries with free-market economies. The results of these investigations are published periodically to make the information available to members of the helium and petroleum industries and to the general public.
