Abstract
This study deals with the inheritance of a few qualitative characters in barley (Hordeum vulgare), their linkage relations to each other, and to two translocations. Two translocations, 1310 and 1317, were studied in three crosses, with genetic stock 358-2 and a variety with a factor for male sterile. The factor pair for normal versus sterile was found to be completely linked with translocation 1317. No indication of linkage was found between any of the other qualitative characters and the two translocations.
