This study has a twofold purpose. The first is to analyze some important factors in the production and marketing of high protein wheat, and the second is to determine the effects of these factors on premiums for high protein wheat, particularly hard red winter wheat.
The major portion of this study has consisted of an extensive analysis of the literature on quality of wheat and wheat marketing. Several studies have been made by others on this subject, some being fairly recent, and others are relatively old. Analysis of facts and opinions from experts in the grain trade has been another important phase of this study.
