Abstract

Three grasses commonly occurring in Nebraska are affected by Sorosporium syntherismae (Peck) Farlow according to Ragab (1949). These three hosts are: Cenchrus pauciflorus Benth., Panicum capillare L., and P. dichotomiflorum Michx.

The purposes of this investigation were to conduct cross-inoculation experiments involving the three host plants and to determine the characteristics of the fungus from each of the hosts.
