The Joint Fire Science Program funds scientific research on wildland fires and distributes results to help policymakers, fire managers and practitioners make sound decisions.
Participating agencies include the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Land Management, the USDA Forest Service, US Fish & Wildlife Service, National Park Service, and US Geological Survey.
