Abstract
Library with Rare books, manuscripts, and special collections which are the treasures of cultural heritage are not getting as much importance as virtual and digital libraries are getting in the current era of Information technology and information explosion. The libraries with rare collections in fact are more difficult to maintain and needs much more care and attention to preserve our ancient culture and knowledge. This paper aims to summarize the conditions of libraries with rare collections in Ahmedabad and efforts needed to maintain and popularizing the usage of their collection
