Abstract

The present research article highlights on the Assistive Technologies to be essentially made available in libraries for extending the library facilities, information services and products in usable form to readers with visual impairment. Visually impaired readers face many problems in continuing their education if assistive technologies are not made available to them. In today's 21st century, various advancements in information and communication technologies, including assistive technologies for visually impaired people have come along that can assist them to achieve their educational goals.
