Abstract

Native American farmers and ranchers are suing the United States Department of Agriculture alleging that they are being discriminated against. Hundreds of Native farmers say that they are overlooked when it comes to getting badly needed subsidies, market protections and better lease agreements. Can Native farming and ranching survive in the new millennium? Invited guests include Tex Hall of the Three Affiliated Tribes of North Dakota and Attorney Alex Dires.
