Abstract

This thesis project is aimed at creating an account on the history of the PGA Golf Management program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Data on the history was gathered from publicly available sources and distilled from broader sources to create a comprehensive look into the history of a program that is now thirteen years old. Information was organized thematically looking at the overall context of the education of PGA Professionals, the start of the program, major events in the program’s history, people involved in the program, facilities utilized, technology utilized and a future vision for the program.
