Abstract
The third generation of two soybean populations following irradiation of seed with X rays and thermal neutrons were sampled to determine the effectiveness of selection for the quantitative characters: yield, maturity, seed size, oil content, and protein content. These investigations were conducted in 1957 and 1958 and involved two commercial soybean varieties, Hawkeye and Adams.
