Abstract

Nebraska's sugar beet production, generating about $9.6 million annually in form income, is on important part of agricultural actively in the Nebraska Panhandle. Figure 1 shows the value of various form products for 1992 for the Nebraska Panhandle. In addition, sugar refining generates about $15 million annually in manufacturing payrolls in the Scottsbluff Bayard- Mitchell areas. These amounts compare with combined 1992 personal income of $751 million in Morrill and Scottsbluff Counties.
