TM 30-340, Handbook on USSR Military Forces, was “published in installments to expedite dissemination to the field.” TM 30-430, Chapter V, 1 November 1945, “Tactics,” is a detailed discussion of Soviet tactics for using particular types of forces and for particular types of operations and conditions.
