Abstract

The research presented in this paper was designed to investigate the effects of treatments of vitamin B1 upon various phases of growth in alfalfa and sorghum, as measured by: (1) relative root and stem length in seedling plants of alfalfa and sorghum; (2) percentage of germination in alfalfa and sorghum; (3) vegetative growth in alfalfa; (4) yield of grain in sorghum; (5) dry weight in sorghum; (6) recovery and survival after transplanting in alfalfa.
