Abstract
In the past the immediate effect of foreign pollen upon the corn kernel has aroused much curiosity and interest in the minds of various investigators. There has not been, however any very extensive or inclusive work reported on this subject to date.
It was the object of this experiment to obtain further evidence on the immediate effect of foreign pollen upon the corn kernel, especially to determine whether or not yield tests as now conducted are reliable as far as cross pollination is concerned.
