Abstract

This investigation was concerned with studying selected characteristics of household heads and households and their relationships to financing homeownership. Because of the investigator’s interest in housing and housing trends and because of a lack of in-depth research studies on this topic, the purposes of the study were: (1) to determine if there was a relationship between selected characteristics of household heads and methods and characteristics of financing homeownership; (2) to determine if there was a relationship between selected characteristics of households and methods and characteristics of financing homeownership; and (3) to compare the findings of the present research with available data and to add to the literature available concerning homeownership.
