Abstract

The present study was undertaken to determine if group A, b-hemolyticStreptococci, obtained from patients with pharyngitis or rheumatic fever, depolymerized chondroitin sulfate. Nine strains of group A, b-hemolytic Streptococci isolated from cases of rheumatic fever and pharyngitis and group D, Streptococcus faecalis were selected for screening.
