Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a director’s approach to The Threepenny Opera utilizing the criteria of the third stage of Brecht’s reception. The third stage in the reception of Brecht is the awareness of the presence of Brecht’s plays as classics. They are recognized as being open to international interpretation. They can be performed free from the orthodox model. And they cannot only be reinforced but actually played against the Brecht theory.
