Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to show the occupational status and distribution of the young men who have received the State Farmer Degree in Nebraska from 1940-43.The study was made specifically to determine the following: (1) To what extent those boys who have received the State Farmer Degree have participated in leadership and other activities while in school; (2) The farming status and distribution of the young men; (3) The extent to which State Farmers are superior in ability to boys not holding the degree; (4) The per cent of boys entering Agricultural Colleges; (5) The per cent of boys entering non-agricultural colleges and (6) The status and distribution of boys entering related agricultural occupations. These findings should be of value in the future in the selection of the future State Farmers, and in the formulation of policies in the program of Vocational Agriculture.
