Abstract

The primary objective of the thesis is to determine the nature of short-run and long-run cost curves. A more efficient allocation of resources in the macaroni industry may lower the per unit cost of the product. If firms in the industry could reduce costs, it would mean that wheat prices could be raised or consumers could purchase the product at a saving.
