Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate and relate the effect of soil genesis to the distribution of Zn, Cu, Fe, and Mn in soils formed in three different parent materials under grassland conditions in eastern Nebraska. The parent materials selected were: Peoria loess, Illinoian colluvium, and Kansan till. These areas correspond respectively, to the Mead Experiment Station, Saunders County; the Daulbey section of the Animal Science Department at Virginia, Gage County; and a site near Adams Gage County, Nebraska.
