Abstract

With such a great diversity and complexity of fluid fertilizers and herbicides formulations available; chemical and physical reactions are possible and may affect application and herbicidal performance. Generally a simple compatibility test is recommended before applying a herbicide-fertilizer mixture. Good agitation and use of appropriate spray equipment is recommended for all mixtures. The objective of these studies was to determine physical and chemical characteristics of herbicide-fertilizer mixtures as influenced by agitation and compatibility agents with time.
