The mission of the Center for Applied Rural Innovation is to help create a rural community and agricultural structure that is economically viable, environmentally sound, socially acceptable and sustainable into the future. Our foci include leadership, sustainable agriculture, and economic and community development through education and research. CARI combines the efforts of the former Center for Rural Community Revitalization and Development, the Center for Leadership Development and the Center for Sustainable Agricultural Systems.
