TEACHERS' LEAVE POLICIES AND PRACTICES IN SELECTED MID-WESTERN CITIES
Abstract
The growing concern and the ever increasing number of teacher leave plans being established in small schools as well as large, in recent years, is indicative of the increasing importance with which the various leave plans are being considered by educators. This is also reflected in the consideration given to teacher welfare by numerous lay groups, especially the Parent Teachers Association. The trend is augmented by the increasing number of states having statutory provisions for teachers' leave.
