Abstract

This thesis is concerned with the changes in maturity that take place among adolescents during a period of one year as revealed by a scale for assessing the solution of developmental tasks. It is also concerned with the relationships between the socio-economic status of a youngster's home and the changes in maturity which are evidenced in adolescence.The purpose of this study is to determine if there have been significant changes in the success of a group of high school boys during an academic year in their solution of developmental tasks and to investigate the relationship between their success in such solutions and the socio-economic status of their homes.
