Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz: Leadership Forged Through Adversity
Abstract
Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz - Leadership Forged Through Adversity is a historical look at the life of an American war hero and the quintessential wartime leader. From 07 December 1941 to 02 September 1945 the United States of America was immersed in the most devastating and deadly conflict in history. Among the myriad of leaders that emerged from World Ward II, none were more talented, influential and accomplished than Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz. The topic of this paper addresses the under documented period in Nimitz’s life that I postulate to be the most heavily impactful in his life, leadership development, and life experience.
