ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HUMAN MILK RIBONUCLEASE
Abstract
Our present knowledge of the structure of different nucleic acids and their possible significance has been greatly facilitated by the isolation and study of the mode of action of different nucleases. Ribonuclease (RNase) and deoxyribonuclease (DNase) are the two specific enzymes which hydrolyze polymerized molecules of nucleic acids and pre- pare them for further stages of metabolism.
